Mauritius is open to everyone!
You do not need to be vaccinated to explore Mauritius. Entry requirements are the same, regardless of your vaccination status – travellers do not need to test before leaving for Mauritius or once they are here and there is no longer a self-isolation requirement in place to visit the island.
Prior to travel, it is recommended that all travellers fill out the Mauritius All in One travel form, which you can access via the link below. It will generate a PDF document with a QR Code. Please print a hard copy of this completed form and present it to Health Officials on arrival at Mauritius Airport. If you have not filled out the All in One travel form, foreign nationals must fill out an Immigration Disembrakation Card on arrival at the airport.

To enjoy a hotel holiday from 15 July to 30 September in Mauritius, travellers must be fully
vaccinated and have a negative PCR test.
Passengers must be fully vaccinated with a
COVID-19 vaccine recognised by the Mauritian authorities. If a second dose of a vaccine is required to be fully vaccinated, this must be given at least 14 days before arrival.
Passengers under 18 years of age are currently exempted from vaccination at this time.
However, they will need to undergo a PCR test. Passengers will fill out a health declaration form during their flight and must hand this to officials on arrival. If you are
unvaccinated, you may travel to Mauritius but must book a 14-day in-room quarantine
stay.
Guests will receive their results by text message within 6-9 hours. If a traveller tests positive at the airport or during their stay, they will be admitted to a dedicated quarantine hotel if they are asymptomatic or a hospital if they are symptomatic.
If they prefer, they can return to their home country for treatment. If clients leave earlier than planned, a refund will depend on the hotel’s policy. If a client chooses to stay in Mauritius after a positive result, their family or travelling companions cannot quarantine in the same room.
If a child tests positive, they will be admitted to a hospital or hotel hospital, depending on their health status. You must have travel insurance with COVID-cover before you fly to Mauritius.
If one or more guests test positive in the resort, the people who remain negative will have to, at the end of their 14 days, after their negative PCR test on day 14, isolate themselves for 7 days in the place of their choice in Mauritius (same hotel, other hotel, rented villa, home). They will have to strictly observe the self-isolation measures that will be explained to them.
If the PCR test on day 7 of their self-isolation is negative, they will be able to return to their normal activities in the community. If people do not wish to undergo quarantine and/or self-isolation, return to the country of origin will be possible, within a sanitary corridor.
If a positive guest is accompanied by relatives, they will have to stay in quarantine for 14 days in a part of the hotel, which will be dedicated to this activity and will be geographically separated from the resort part. This quarantine area will be managed in partnership with the health department or the relatives of the positive person will be sent to a quarantine hotel, managed by the health department and of the same category as the initial hotel. If the quarantined clients wish, they can be escorted to the airport during the quarantine period to return to their country, according to the health corridor principle.

All PCR tests need to be official laboratory tests. You will need to show proof of travel insurance with COVID-cover before you fly.
You will also need a PCR test on arrival at the airport in Mauritius, and on day 7 and 14 of your stay. If you are leaving on day 15, you can use your day 14 test result depending on the regulations of the country you are flying to.
Yes. PCR tests are mandatory for all guests, including babies and infants.

If children under 18 are travelling alone to meet with a parent in Mauritius, a special appeal can be made to the Ministry of Health for the parent to quarantine with the child. Children must travel with a fully vaccinated parent.
For the moment, a vaccine card is valid. The Mauritian government is working on a digital version.
From 1 October 2021, there will be no restrictions for fully vaccinated people.
Mauritius to Drop PRE-ARRIVAL PCR Test requirement for visitors from 12 March 2022
Incoming visitors will no longer have to present a negative PCR test taken 72 hours before arrival in Mauritius
(Port Louis, 12 March 2022) The Republic of Mauritius drops the requirement for all incoming visitors to present a negative PCR test before being allowed into Mauritius.
Previously, fully vaccinated passengers had to present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure. The Ministry of Health and Wellness has dropped this requirement as from 12 March 2022.
This move will make it much easier for business and leisure travellers to visit this Indian Ocean Island and is being warmly welcomed by the travel and hospitality industry in Mauritius.
Demand from tourists and business travellers has soared following the reopening of its borders to international travel since last October, which coincided with the loosening of travel restrictions in many of Mauritius’ key markets.
Travellers are choosing Mauritius for its beaches, mountains, lagoons and business opportunities but also for its safety and security. As it stands, 90% of Mauritius’ adult population is fully vaccinated and our booster dose campaign is at full swing.
